Beulah Jay Jenkins Pharris passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Oak Hill Senior Living Facility in Portland, TN at the age of 94.

Mrs. Pharris is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Kay (James) Parker of Portland, TN and Kimberly June (Dewayne) Bullington of Oshkosh, WI; grandchildren, James S. (Brenda) Parker Jr. of Portland, TN, Regina (Mark) Triplet of Portland, TN, and Amy (Brandon) McKee of Fayetteville, TN; great-grandchildren, Samantha (Caleb) Mandrell, Kurt (Madison) Triplet, Luke Triplet, Ben Triplet, Abby Nix, and Jake Nix; great-great-grandchildren, Parker Kate Mandrell and Ava Grace Triplet; sister, Ruby Lee (Hollis) Harris of Gallatin, TN; brothers, Mack Arthur Jenkins of Bethpage, TN, Donald Clark (Sharon) Jenkins of Portland, TN, and Robert Browning (Gail) Jenkins of Bethpage, TN; a special thanks to the staff at Oak Hill Senior Living for their kind care and attention during the last two years.

Mrs. Pharris moved to Sumner County in December 1957, living here for 67 years. She worked several years for Portland MFG., Gary MFG. in Gallatin, TN. In addition to helping her husband on the farm, she worked in the cafeteria at North Sumner Elementary School and served the children who attended the Corinth Church of Christ Tuesday-Thursday Preschool. She was a member of the Corinth Church of Christ and loved her church family. She was born to Marvin Kirk Jenkins and Mallie Delno Browning Jenkinson June 14, 1930 in Jackson County, TN, the oldest of ten children. She married William H. Pharris on April 29, 1950 in Franklin, KY and was married 48 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and sisters, Cledith Fay Fleming and Edith Mai Painter and brothers, George L. Jenkins, Roy Travis Jenkins, and Dan Morgan Jenkins; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Mrs. Pharris will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 4th, 2025 At Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with James S. Parker Sr., James S. Parker Jr., & Steve Hall officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Pharris will be on Friday, January 3rd, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm & on Saturday, January 4th, 2025 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sherron Cemetery in Oak Grove, TN.

James S. Parker Jr. Dewayne Bullington, Richard Painter, Brandon McKee, Mark Triplet, Kurt Triplet, Luke Triplet, & Ben Triplet will serve as pallbearers. Mack Jenkins, Donald Jenkins, Robert Jenkins, & The Elders of the Corinth Church of Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers.
