Charles 'Charlie' Rosenberg was born in New York City on March 9, 1934, to the late Phil and Sydelle Rosenberg.
Charlie had many professions throughout his life. He joined the US Navy during the Korean War era. During this time, he attended Underwater Demolition Training and became a member of the UDT Seal Team and proudly served his Country. He was an avid sailor and was happiest when they traveled to places like Beirut, Lebanon and Naples, Italy. He also received distinguished medals of honor. After his honorable discharge from service Charlie and family moved to Norfolk, VA where he owned & operated a Pet Shop. In the late 1970's he moved to Goodlettsville, TN where he purchased a trailer park and opened a craft business. He also worked as Chief of Security for Gibson Boat Company until his retirement.
Charlie's lifelong passion was raising & breeding horses and regularly participating in bass fishing tournaments. He also won the Wal Mart bass fishing tournament. Charlie and his wife moved a final time to Portland, Tn where they enjoyed the peaceful, beautiful scenery in an area they called God's country. Charlie was a devoted husband and as he aged, he enjoyed working puzzles and taking care of his loved ones.
In the past few years Charlie endured major health issues. In his final days he was lovingly cared for at home by his beloved wife Dot Rosenberg and by Hospice. On June 13, 2024, Charlie passed away peacefully in his sleep at age 90 with his loving wife Dot and precious Italian Greyhound Zeva by his side.
He is survived by his wife, Dot Rosenberg; daughter Yevette Aquino; stepson Barry Nash; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a grateful, caring family who will never forget him and who will always honor and love him.
A celebration of life will occur with details to be determined.
