Marvin E. Lehman Obituary

Portland, TN - Marvin E. Lehman, 74 of Portland, passed away on January 23 after a brief illness at Sumner Regional Hospital.


He was born on August 28, 1951 to Luke E. and Mabel Buckwalter Lehman in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Nashville Auto-Diesel College in 1970. He worked at Peterbilt dealership as a diesel technician in Nashville for over 30 years. When asked what he did he would smile and say, "Make big trucks go farther".


His hobbies included hunting, traveling, collecting die cast cars and maintaining his home and truck.


His partner for over 25 years was Julie Durbin, and they enjoyed many happy years helping each other through the highs and lows of life. She stayed by his side to the end, never giving up on him.


In addition to Julie he is survived by a son, Travis (Heather) Lehman; two granddaughters, Reese and Regan Lehman from Hershey, PA; a daughter Janine Lehman from Lancaster, PA; and sister Brenda (Gary) Burkholder from Martindale, PA. Also surviving are his stepchildren: John Durbin, Jacob (Brandi) Pace, Jessica Phillips, Jacqueline (Gary) England and Joseph Durbin; 17 other grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as an uncle, aunts and cousins.


Along with his parents he was proceeded in death by his brother, Luke Lehman.


There will be a celebration of life at our home in the near future.
